What's the difference between Free and Tellie Pro?

Free Tellie is a working teleprompter: load a script, play, adjust speed and font size, mirror the text, all the basics. It is invisible to Zoom and screen recorders just like Pro, and you can push to the notch from any app, terminal, or AI agent for free.

Pro adds voice-follow scrolling in about 50 languages, the live pace report, multi-script playlists, per-script settings memory, multi-take rewind, Markdown section navigation, the resizable thin-strip prompter, global keyboard hotkeys, Presenter Mode (live Keynote speaker notes mirrored into the notch), and Pulse Log (a rolling 24-hour history of everything sent to the notch).

Can I use Tellie Pro on more than one Mac?

Yes. A Tellie Pro license is a single-user license that activates on up to three Macs at the same time. Use it on your MacBook, your Mac mini studio, and a backup machine.

If you ever need to deactivate a Mac (selling it, returning a work laptop), open Settings → Tellie Pro and click Deactivate on this Mac.

How do I activate my Tellie Pro license?

After you buy, you will get an email from Lemon Squeezy with your license key (usually within seconds). Copy the key, open Tellie, click the menu bar icon → Settings → License tab. Paste your key into the License field and click Activate. Pro features unlock immediately; no restart needed.

Do I get free updates?

Yes. Every Tellie 1.x update is free, forever. Sparkle auto-update inside Tellie installs them automatically.

If a future Tellie 2.x ever ships, it will be a separate purchase with a discount for existing Pro customers, but Tellie 1.x stays yours and stays updated for as long as Steve maintains it.

What's the refund policy?

14 days, no questions asked. If Tellie Pro does not work for you, email steve@skytech.io within 14 days of purchase and we will refund your money in full through Lemon Squeezy. EU and UK customers also have the right of withdrawal required by local consumer law.

Can I gift Tellie Pro to someone?

Yes. Buy a license normally, then email steve@skytech.io with the recipient's email address and we will reassign the license. We can also send gift codes for events, podcasts, and giveaways; reach out with the details.

Why one-time instead of a subscription?

Tellie is a tool you own, not a service you rent. There are no servers on our side that cost us money every month per user. The voice-follow recognition runs entirely on your Mac.

So we charge once, and the app is yours, the way Mac apps used to be.

Do I need an internet connection to use Tellie Pro?

No, with one small exception. The first activation requires an internet connection to verify your license with Lemon Squeezy. After that, Tellie caches your license locally and works fully offline.

About once a month, Tellie will quietly re-verify your license in the background if you happen to be online. Voice Follow itself never touches the internet; it runs on your Mac.

I downloaded Tellie before June 7, 2026. Do I need to pay?

No. Anyone whose first Tellie launch was before June 7, 2026 keeps every current and future Pro feature for free, forever. The app detects this automatically; you do not need to enter a license key.
